An entry I made for a just for fun online poetry contest yesterday.
Sunset from Maui a Few Years Ago (c) Brian Bucks |
So
Far Away
Surf washes gently,
Memories of us.
So far away,
Oceans apart.
Reunion soon,
Walk hand in hand.
Paradox of joined,
Yet apart.
I watch sun set,
You watch sun rise.
Sweetness in beauty,
Reminds me of us.
Drawn to the sea,
Looking for you.
Over the horizon,
Expect your return.
