Fading

Fading light brushes the sky,
Hope extinguished revealed in eye.
Darkness engulfs all that's around,
Distance between can't be found.

Everything crashes upon the shore,
Apparently life keeps score.
Wrongs engraved on tablets of stone,
Heart left utterly alone.

Where is hope?
Where is love?
Where is desire?
Where is passion's fire?
