Winter Solitude

Winter Solitude

Horizon shrouded with bluish gray clouds
shadows as I walk this morning
Horse outlines appear before me
  grazing in fields now dormant

Come Alive

          Come Alive

Fiery blood horizon line
First edge of red sun
Appears casting pink hues
Softly on gentle clouds

Pink tint blankets the hills
Glory of another sunrise
Awakens all that Winter numbs
Come alive my soul

Red Sun

               Red Sun

Reddish pink sky awakens
Reflecting off soft clouds
Rippled as a calm sea
Arousing dormant hope

Brilliant red sun
About to pierces eastern horizon
Pinkish light emblazons tops of Wildcat Hills
Wakened beauty stirs innermost desires
