Breaching the tree row

Breaching the tree row

Wetness clings low
heavy cottony white
brightly clouds vision
gentle breeze rocks branches
leaves collect moisture
drops patter down in dissonance

Long forgotten sounds
stretch dormant memories
sweetness of mind taffy
pulled and twisted
integrates past and present

Pheasants call from the prairie
raising the alarm
familiar rapid beat of wing
echo as they rise in flight
quickly disappear
fog conceals once again
