       Cotton Candy

Cottony fog hangs
In the river valley
As drive into softness
Enter another world

Silence in the ethereal light
Visibility reduced to a
Few car lengths, roll down
Windows to listen

Sound of approaching care
Wait, can I trust my ears
Then it appears as if
Beamed down from the Enterprise

Swallowed up quickly again
As I'm left listening
Before I pull out
Slipping silently cloaked onto pavement
