September Morn
Sun peaks over
the hill shyly
Soft fleshy pink
greets me
Daily routine
walking Molly
In the hay field
round bales
Still smell sweet
as walk past
Hush lay upon
greenness of September
Irrigation water jostling
in concrete ditch
One more week
'til water silenced
Preparation for Fall
on the ranch
