Last Cutting
Warm autumn evening
Baler making last run of season
Rhythm of plunger packing grass
Sun low on horizon
Cloudless as blaze dies
Ever slowly disappearing
Tractor and baler in sync
Gobbling up the rows
Leaving small squares behind
Forty five year old equipment
Still laboring in the field
Ready for two seasons of rest
