Like The Wind

Like The Wind

She came in like the wind

and left as evaporating dew

leaving warm green jungle dripping

Long after she left

her words soak into soil of soul

like silk brushing cheek

Breach 18-073Z

Clutter clutter in the mind
Surfaces when rest my head
Lay awake looking up
In the darkness body speaks

Great beasts breaches
Spouting memories
Expel tension with each breath
Beast is beached upon the shore

Seducing stories tell myself
Once brought comfort
They are no longer true
Let them go

I'm not that person anymore
Inhale deeply to my gut
Breath in new interpretation
Healing in the present of the past

So Slow

             So Slow

As we journey together on fire
We meld desires
Passion grows
Love ever so slow
Draws out the dross that stains
Exposing deepest pains
Maturity gain
Never be the same

Transplant

            Transplant

In the ashes prepare the ground
Push the shovel down with my weight
Scoop out the dirt, repeat
Earth ready to receive

Work with the soil
Prepare the roots
Planting beauty in the debris
For the future what will be

Sprinkle with water
Baptizing new life
What was dead
To live again

Double Payments No More

        Double Payments No More
Thief extorts a double payment
What's already been purchased bought again
Willing ways give self to double pay
Nullifying truth and work of Christ
An empty tomb marks death to double payments

Started paying double before encountered my Savior
Now bring all those places to the manger
Beginning place of salvation
Submitting to completeness of my ransom
Received and redeemed, price paid in full

Thief no longer has authority to demand payment
If I pay now I've bought his lie as in the Fall
Truth of Father shines bright bringing freedom
Salvation to all that I am, all the internal places
Transformation and new life begins today in Him

Drawn Out

     Drawn Out

Internal joy wells up
Springing from hope
Igniting faith
Re-formed and created

Transformation's journey
Dross pulled out in trials
Vulnerability opens purity
Teachable and soft

Who I am drawn out
Distortions removed
Clarity of being
Renewed and alive

Exchange Shame

         Exchange Shame

Transformation's exchange
Must remember the forgotten
Memories awakened for complete redemption
And exchange relationship with shame
For Father's redeeming love

What's been suppressed, unbound
Contempt explored, source healed with a touch
Healing comes - slowly and quickly
Transformed moment by moment
From stain of sin's separation

His waves of love surge and ebb
Gently cleansing stains and debris
Engulfed in His ocean of love
Into His sea of forgetfulness
No longer draining life, energy, and hope
Each breath cleansing and free

Deep Anchors

         Deep Anchors

Love's spark ignites
As hope blows softly on embers
Once given up as dead
A phoenix rises from cold ashes

Seed that must die
Fall's into ground
Warmth of sun on dark place
Resurrection birthed in womb

Years of waiting, hoping
Finally wind of life blows
Awakening that which has lain in the ground
Roots gone deep before breaks the soil's crust

Attuned to harsh conditions
Driving deep anchors of soul
Internal transformation grows
Soon external fruit known
