Glimmer

Glimmer 18-142y

         -i-
Beads of dew
Hang like ornaments
Mini disco balls
Separating light

         -ii-
Micro prisms scatters
Sparkling rainbow
Each step
Retinal bliss

         -iii-
Blades of grass
Greenness gathers
Natures teardrops
Til spills over

         -iv-
Onto black boots
Coolness kisses toes
Startles warm veneer
Very dust of earth

Light

Light (18-013Z)

Fifty year old light
Hung in the room
Among the shadows
In the corner

Pull string pulled
Last time today
Ladder hauled in
Fixture screws removed

Cut around porcelain freeing
From years of paint
Wires cut
To the trash it goes

Remote control
LED light fixture
Adjustable intensity
Shadows cast away

Light Echoes

Colorado National Monument

          Light Echoes

Light echoes with shadows
Playful symbiosis upon ridge
Hues of reds and earth tones
Shifting as shadows dance

Scrub dots the horizon
Arid land accommodates a lifestyle
Nature conforms to climate
As Man modifies water flow

Harsh line at water's boundaries
Even as water flows below the surface
Water and life forged
Simplicity of contrast

Engaged in Early Light

         Engaged in Early Light

Fox moving quickly
In early morn' light
Snow floating softly
As he moves across snow covered stubble

Beauty of fluffy tail
Graceful movement
Efficient as continues quest
Present enough to observe what's around me

Light Absorbed

          Light Absorbed

Softness of morning air,
Gentle light absorbed.
Walking gingerly with no cares,
Creation meant to be adored.
Centered in calm,
Often find peace in storm.
Surrender and give alms,
In my daybreak norm.
