Gray
Warmth of late morning gives way,
Distant horizon fades to gray.
Season confused if Winter or Spring,
Ambivalence that nature brings.
Can see the approaching transition,
Animals sense they feed before reposition.
Wind driven rain pelts windows,
Temperature drops begging snow.
