Corn stubble
dances
twirling, skipping high and low
Brown of last
season's harvest
debris rises high
Christmas tree
size tumbleweeds
tumble across our path
Marching East 'til
captured
on bumpers and barbed wire
Fine sandy loam
clouds
darken the sky
Peppering windows
relentlessly
skin exfoliated in its barrage
