In the Forge

In the Forge

In the forge's fire
Malleable and soft
Smithy's hammer blows
Forms and shapes

Coals glowing
Immersed in purifying
Heat purging
Humility's softness

Heart forged anew
Each strike on anvil
Remade into original
Recycled and renewed

About the Author:  Brian Bucks lives on a small horse ranch in Western Nebraska and is a husband, father, electrical engineer, and poet.
